I recently purchased a 2025 Subaru Forester at Napleton Subaru in Rockford, IL. I have purchased many new cars in my lifetime, and this was by far the most "comfortable" car purchase ever. There was no pressure, and I was given tons of great information about each of the many styles, and they went above and beyond to get me exactly the color that I wanted with the exact features I wanted. They were recommended by our neighbors that have had years of great service experiences there. When I picked up my new car, every feature was explained, and they even paired my phone with the tech in the car. Excellent service.

I enjoy coming here for our Outbacks regular car service. One occasion I didn’t feel the service clerk was fully understanding the gravity of an issue/complaint, so I spoke with the service manager who made me feel very welcome and helped to resolve the issue. Every time I go in I continue to feel welcome and heard.
his is by far the best dealership I have been to. I had initially purchased a WRX from them in 2022. Due to some changing needs, I needed a truck so the WRX had to go (temporarily.. It'll be back). The truck I ended up purchasing turned out to be a HEADACHE... So, here's my review of this dealer... Ashlee in service was fantastic in helping me fix my vehicle and provided me with a loaned vehicle. I had purchased a used GM vehicle from a dealership in another state which turned out to be absolutely riddled with problems. I contacted Napleton Subaru who I knew also was paired with Cadillac. I spoke with Ashlee on the phone who was nothing but reassuring. I was informed I could bring my vehicle in for a diagnostic. It turned out the FSCM which had just been replaced was bad. Ashlee paired my vehicle up with Bucky who performed all of the service on my vehicle. Bucky went through my vehicle and had Ashlee order the new FSCM. After a few weeks of waiting on the backordered part, the new part had finally arrived. YES! I brought my vehicle back to Bucky's expertise and he had the parts swapped out within an hour along with an oil change. After replacing the part, Bucky found my fuel pump had also gone bad at some point. Ashlee worked with Napleton and they "good willed" the fuel pump since it was just out of warranty. I dropped my vehicle back off and Bucky worked his magic and got everything fixed! No check engine lights, no sputtering, NO PROBLEMS! Thanks to Ashlee, Bucky and the rest of Napleton's service team, I will continuously be visiting this dealership and I highly recommend others do as well!

The overall experience was one of going to the dentist and having a pain free experience. More dealerships should operate as Napleton does. Everyone was friendly in a way that felt sincere and not forced. From sales to financing, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience.
I was interested in the Subaru Crosstrek. I have had a Mini Cooper or Toyota for most of life, so Subaru was new to me. Dan was my salesman and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I now own a Subaru Crosstrek and really enjoy it. Thank you Dan for help in my decision to try Subaru.
I had a big surprise with TWO flat tires one day in February. I was able to get a SAME DAY appointment to get my issues reviewed and fixed. My service person kept me informed of every item that needed attention. I would recommend Napleton Subaru for service

She is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I understood how every feature of my Outback Limited worked. She answered every question I had and I never felt pressured at all from start to finish. If you are looking to buy a new Subaru or a clean reliable pre owned vehicle, I highly recommend Napleton Subaru and Barb Madisen. It was so nice working with a professional who knew her vehicles and who made the experience fun.

I met the very efficient and friendly Parts Dept young man who had ordered my wiper blade last week, and a very conscientious young man who carefully replaced my front wiper blade! And every employee that passed me asked if I'd been helped! It was a very pleasant experience at our Subaru dealership today! :)
I was very satisfied with the experience at Napleton. To be fair, I had done all my own research online before even contacting the dealership about the vehicle I was interested in. I was contacted by the sales department and setup an appointment with Matt, he was very thorough with our meeting about the Ascent. No issues with the sales side at all. What I was displeased with is the financing side of things, I am amazed that no one has simplified this process at auto dealerships. It takes way too long to sit through the extended warranty sales pitch and to complete all the required paperwork. We sat in the finance office longer that in the sales department. We love our new car and are very happy with the Napleton experience.
