Discover the New Subaru Legacy SUV

When it comes to finding the right midsize sedan, drivers from Beloit should take a look at the Subaru Legacy. There's a lot of exciting changes on this popular midsize sedan, and the best way to experience these changes is to stop in and test drive the Legacy.

Performance

Newly updated on the Legacy is the direct-injection 2.5-liter Boxer engine. Over previous model years, this standard update provides more power, efficiency, and features. You have up to 182 horsepower while still having the fuel economy to get up to 35 mpg on the highway. Combined with the 18.5-gallon fuel tank, you can go up to 650 miles between fillups.

Another new addition is the 260 horsepower behind the turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine. It also has 277 pound-feet of torque under the hood for improved performance and still has a 600-mile highway range and 32 mpg highway. It's an available upgrade on many of the Legacy models but comes standard on the Touring XT.

Whichever Legacy model you choose, each comes equipped standard with the symmetrical AWD system. The Legacy is designed with an even weight distribution that aids in traction and control. The AWD adapts to the changing road and weather conditions to provide a responsive drive.

Technology

The Subaru Starlink Multimedia system comes standard on each Legacy model. This centerpiece is a part of the Legacy's newly redesigned interior and has built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. You can customize the interactive touchscreen as well with your favorite apps and information.

The available 11.6-inch screen comes standard on the Premium, Sport, Touring XT, Limited, and Limited XT to give you more screen space. To add more entertainment options in the rear seat, the Subaru Starlink Entertainment Anywhere can help your passengers stay connected and entertained.

The Entertainment Anywhere system adds two additional screens in the form of Apple iPad 32GB models. Combined with the included Harman Kardon headphones and OtterBox cases for protection, your passengers can be entertained for hours.

Every part of the Subaru Legacy is built using some of the latest technologies. The Legacy uses high-strength steel for its frame to enable the sedan to be more fuel-efficient and quieter. The frame has added vibration resistance that aids in a quieter cabin.

Safety

Driver-assist features are built into the Subaru Legacy. A standard rear-vision camera helps you reverse more safely. Simply put the car in reverse and the camera will activate on the touchscreen. You can also choose the available 180-degree Front View Monitor to expand your field of view as well.

For improved nighttime visibility, each Legacy comes standard with LED headlights. Not only do they increase your view of the road, but they also use less power compared to traditional lamps. With standard high beam assist added in, the Legacy will automatically switch to low beams when it detects oncoming traffic and switches back on when the road has cleared.

You can enhance your night drive with the available Steering Responsive Headlights. These headlights turn with the steering wheel for increased visibility when you round corners and turns.

A new safety feature on the Legacy is the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. It includes safety features like the EyeSight Driver Assist technology to provide audio alerts when it detects that you're getting distracted or drowsy. You can set up to five different driver profiles as well to store settings such as the mirrors, climate control, and seat position for added ease.

Other safety features include the Blind-Spot Detection system. Using radar it gives you a visual warning on the side mirrors when it detects cars moving into your blind spots.

Options like the Legacy Sport, Legacy Limited XT, and the Legacy Touring XT fall under the lineup's performance sedans. The Sport has features such as the SI-Drive Engine Performance Management and an interior design that adds a sporty look. The Limited XT and Touring XT, on the other hand, give you the 260 horsepower Turbocharged Boxer engine to feel the speed at your fingertips.
